Deutsche Telekom’s tech incubator, Hubraum, has launched an Apple AR Innovation Program to help find new best-in-class AR applications.

Hubraum states:

We are inviting iOS developers from around the globe to show us their best-in-class Augmented Reality applications that, with the help of the program, can be boosted by Deutsche Telekom’s technologies including 5G and Low Latency Edge Computing, along with early access to customers.

Apple has the world’s largest AR platform, with hundreds of millions of AR enabled devices, as well as thousands of AR apps on the App Store. Apple hardware and software are designed from the ground up for AR, there is no better way to experience the tangible tomorrow.

The group is looking for apps in the areas of communication, gaming, sports, music, retail, education, sustainability, machine learning, privacy, and more. It wants experienced iOS developers “that would like to take advantage of Deutsche Telekom’s innovation incubator and development support directly from Apple” and potential iOS apps “that can be relevant for mass-market customers.”

In exchange, participants selected will get a “unique Deutsche Telekom platform for development of market-ready applications and global commercialization” as well as support directly from Apple, mentoring, technical understanding and guidance, business development sessions, on-boarding assistance, and access to 5G and Edge Computing through Telecom Telco-Technology infrastructure.

Applications are being pitched through August, with the closing date set at August 4, 2021.
