Opposition MPs chant ‘memalukan’ after Rayer is sent off

PETALING JAYA: Oppositions chanted “memalukan” (shame) in the Dewan Rakyat today minutes before the morning session ended after the deputy speaker Datuk Mohd Rashid Hasnon (pix) removed Jelutong MP RSN Rayer (PH-Jelutong).

Rayer stood by his usage of the word “memalukan” despite being warned three times by the deputy to retract his statement.

This resulted in the Jelutong MP being removed and was suspended for two days.

The commotion started when the motion to replace Dewan Rakyat Speaker Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun was rejected by Rashid to be debated in the parliament.
