Even though TM is the first telco to sign up with Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) for access to the national 5G infrastructure, YTL Communications one-upped the company by offering 5G services much earlier to end-users. Fret not unifi Mobile postpaid customers, your turn will come in February.
This is based on a recent update to unifi’s website, as highlighted by Twitter user @aniq8678. Additional screenshots captured by Amanz and Soya Cincau also showed that the 5G access will be made available to unifi Mobile postpaid customers regardless of their plan tiers.

However, it seemed that TM has since removed February 2022 launch date when we visited the site at 10:50 PM today. In addition to that, you will also be automatically forwarded to a separate page within unifi’s website that highlights unifi Mobile’s Ultimate Plan a few seconds after the page loads up.
At the moment, the national 5G network covers Cyberjaya, Putrajaya, and selected parts of Kuala Lumpur while you also need to own compatible phones to access it. DNB has previously stated that it is aiming to have 5G coverage in 40% of the populated areas throughout the country by the end of 2022 involving 4,018 sites although it still depends on whether the government will continue to let the SPV implement its 5G deployment or introduce yet another change to the national 5G rollout plan.
(Thanks to @aniq8678 for the tips!)
